Brush Wars Competition

London - Oct/19

Brush Wars is a Body Painting Competition that takes place every year at The Olympia in London.

In October 2019 I was invited to go along with the crew from Dublin BodyPaint to my first ever Body Painting competition. The theme was Alexander McQueen and my category was Student Body Paint, in the end I got the First Place Award which I was very surprised since there were so many amazing works in the competition, we had three hours total to paint. This was also my first time painting half a body. Thank you Orlagh and Caitríona for encouraging me to do this and bringing me with you on this trip, I had an amazing time those days.

To prepare myself for this competition I created a head piece beforehand to match the planning of my Body Paint, the headpiece was built with foam. In this page you can watch a time lapse clip of me hot gluing the pieces to my headpiece while I was making it and also at the day of the competition painting my model: Todd Lamming - Also want say thank you to Todd for being so patience and available for this event.

At the day I took a few photos of Todd, so I edit my favorites to add to my portfolio, you can see them here too.
